“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.”- Coco Chanel

  1. Understand that being fabulous also means having a fabulous mind.
  2. Eat bananas when you have cramps, because they are the perfect cure.
  3. So is chocolate ice cream, in my opinion.
  4. Go a few days without wearing an ounce of make up, and it will do wonders for your skin. Besides, make-up is an optional addition to your beauty, it is not beauty itself.
  5. If a store clerk asks you to sign up for a free rewards card, say yes. It makes all the difference.
  6. Use dry shampoo even right after your hair is dried, it adds amazing volume.
  7. Toothpaste acts as a great spot treatment for acne. Try it, and you’ll see.
  8. Become best friends with the girls that challenge and support you. They should give you big hugs, full glasses, and enough laughter to last a lifetime.
  9. Yard sales and thrift stores are full of incredible finds. Check them out.
  10. Get a pair of roll-up flats for weddings and dances. You just slip them in your purse. They’re sold at a multitude of stores, including Wal-Mart, and make it possible for you to slip off those harrowing heels and be comfortable doing the Cha-Cha slide.
  11. Cold water will instantly get blood out of clothing. No further explanation needed…
  12. Share your opinions regularly, respectively, and assertively.
  13. If you put eye liner on your bottom lids, only do so towards the outside corners of your eyes. It will make your eyes appear larger, rather than closed in with the liner under the whole eye.
  14. Use a magnet to manage bobby pins.
  15. Get a magnified mirror. It makes the task of plucking eye brows not feel like the bane of your existence.
  16. You also won’t feel like you have to place your face two inches away from the mirror to put on your make up.
  17. Actually keep the plastic back on your earrings that goes behind the metal one. It will dramatically reduce the likelihood of those stupid things falling out all of the time.
  18. Download a budgeting app.
  19. I recommend Mint.com. It will let you set budgets for everything from retail shopping to Netflix, and you’ll really be able to see how you spend your money.
  20. Take every chance you can to learn about the world around you. Read. Discuss. Learn. Knowledge is power, and the people of this world deserve to be understood.
  21. Date the man that makes you feel like the woman you want to be. Date the man that respects you, kisses your forehead, shares your passions, laughs with you, knows how to make your coffee, and makes you feel like you are perfect just the way you are.
  22. Get a really solid adhesive bra, also known as “sticky boobs.” It will make those elegant back-less shirts and dresses your new best friends.
  23. Keep the box the bra comes in and continually put the bra back on the plastic holder when you’re done. If you don’t, it will suck up all of the hair and lint it can and start to become absolutely repulsive looking.
  24. Photos are so meaningful and important. Take as many as you can.
  25. Take Advil before you go to bed after you’ve been drinking and it cures the next morning’s struggles.
  26. Leave your clothes on a hanger in the bathroom when you get a shower, and it will steam the wrinkles out of them.
  27. Make a playlist for every mood you may end up in or situation you may have to face. It does wonders for your mental health to be prepared to be healed by music.
  28. Love your body. Confidence and beauty are one in the same. Your body is perfect.
  29. Use lemon juice for a natural hair lightener that isn’t too harsh.
  30. Buy a pack of blister band-aids. They are a little more expensive, but they work a thousand times better than regular band-aids and can combat heels are uncomfortable shoes like no other.
  31. Start at the back of the store and work your way up.
  32. Don’t be afraid to fall in love.
  33. Carry a water bottle with you.
  34. Use Pinterest when you are looking for incredible inspiration for so many different tasks.
  35. Never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something.
  36. Be kind to other women.
  37. There’s no shame in using kid’s detangling spray for those of you that have crazy thick hair like I do.
  38. There may be photos of different cartoon animals on the front of the bottle, but hey, it works.
  39. Get a really great pair of fuzzy socks or slippers for driving.
  40. Stop at the Dollar Tree before you venture into any new craft or decorating adventure.
  41. Every woman should take at least one trip to Victoria’s Secret to get measured accurately and have someone really help her buy the right bra. I know I was wearing the wrong size for years. Women are unique, and so are our ta-tas and they deserve to be treated as such.
  42. A class of red wine is good for your health, and if you don’t like red wine, a glass of any wine is good for your soul.
  43. Use make-up wipes, and don’t pay an arm and a leg for them at the drug store. Places like Big Lots and Wal-Mart will sell them for incredibly cheap.
  44. Get make-up wipes for your house. Get a pack for trips. Get a pack for the car. Even get a pack if you don’t wear make-up, because they’re a great way to feel refreshed during the day when a face wash isn’t possible. They rock.
  45. There’s nothing wrong with a few adult naps.
  46. Don’t put your jeans in the dryer.
  47. Don’t trust too easily. Don’t judge too harshly.
  48. You can never have too many elaborate coffee to-do cups. Keep buying them.
  49. There is nothing wrong with a little Netflix Binge Therapy.
  50. Appreciate and learn from the strong and inspiring women around you.
  51. Don’t skip meals. Having healthy snacks and meals throughout the day is much healthier for you anyway. Skipping meals is actually counteractive.
  52. Remember a top coat when you do your nails because they will last twice as long.
  53. Stretch when you wake up in the morning.
  54. Mix up your work-out routine and try classes.
  55. They actually make working out fun. It’s somewhat mind-blowing.
  56. Get two kinds of face washes and alternate the two. If you use one that is too harsh every day, you will dry out your skin, and if it’s not strong enough, it will be ineffective. An alternate of the two is a perfect balance.
  57. Don’t kiss and tell.
  58. Don’t hear about kisses and then tell. Gossiping is pointless.
  59. There may be some circumstances in your career that make you feel as though you have to work harder than men. Don’t use it as an excuse. Use it as a motivator for progress, change, and hard-earned success.
  60. Cheap jewelry can transform any outfit. There’s no shame in buying an absolute ton of it during one of those big sales that places like Forever 21 and Charlotte Rouse are famous for.
  61. Don’t fork out the big bucks for teeth whitening. Just add a little baking soda to your regular teeth brushing routine and you’ll be amazed by the difference.
  62. Keep a pack of the essentials in your car at all times. The essentials being hand lotion, chap stick, feminine products, Advil, and band-aids.
  63. Always choose the matte foundations. They don’t have an oily base, so they go on in a smooth, dry, and absorbent way. They rule.
  64. Organization relieves so much stress. Using an app like AnyDo, or just a day planner, can make life so much easier. We are almost always doing a million things at once, and sometimes even Super Woman needs a trusty sidekick.
  65. Remember that sometimes moms are the coolest people to hang out with.
  66. Grandmas are too.
  67. Take your vitamins.
  68. Count your blessings.
  69. Stand up for yourself.
  70. Get that extra slice of pizza.
